Why Muslims Can’t Deny the Possibility of the Incarnation!
Many Muslims have told us it’s impossible for God to come to earth through the incarnation. But is it wise for any person to say that is impossible for God to do something? Muslims continually say, “Allahhu Akbar!” But is God really great if something is impossible for Him?
God can do anything! The Injil teaches this and so does the Quran. “For nothing is impossible with God” (Injil, Luke 1:37). Don’t limit God! Let’s look carefully at the incarnation of Isa Mesih. Have you ever thought deeply about this? Isa Mesih, the Kalimat Allah, came to live in this world for 33 years. What does that mean?
Isa Mesih Lived a Perfect Life
Isa came to earth to live a perfect life. He said of Himself, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Injil, Matthew 20:28). He came solely to redeem us from slavery to sin by dying on our behalf. This required that He become a man, a perfect sinless man, so that He could die for us. The Holy Injil tells us that the only reason this was possible was because Isa Mesih is the Son of God.This son-ship is not a physical son-ship, because God is Spirit. It is a spiritual and divine relationship that goes beyond human understanding.
No Sinful Man Could Be Our Redeemer
Man’s Redeemer had to be someone who never sinned. All of the true prophets were protected from making mistakes in religious teachings and prophecies, but not in their own personal lives. They ALL sinned.
God’s Holy Book declares that Isa is “holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens” (Hebrews 7:26). It also says that “He appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin” (1 John 3:5). The Quran also states that Isa Mesih was sinless. Qs 19:19 says, “I will give you (Mary) a pure boy.” Isa Mesih is the Redeemer because He never sinned. All other men need to be redeemed.
Second, Isa is not a mere prophet or apostle. He is “God manifest in the flesh”—both God and man. He is the Son of God and the Son of Man.
The value of His death is unlimited. By Isa’s death He redeems everyone: “He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world” (Injil, 1 John 2:2). Isa, the One who died, is the perfect Man and therefore, the perfect sacrifice.
The Resurrection of Isa Mesih
God Himself can never die. The death of Isa Mesih on our behalf is a definite fact that has at least four infallible proofs:
(1) Many prophets spoke of His death hundreds of years before Isa came. These prophecies are in the Tevrat and the Prophets.
(2) Isa told His disciples many times before His death that the Jews would kill Him and that He would rise on the third day.
(3) Isa’s death and resurrection were recorded for us by many eyewitnesses.
(4) The Bible, both in the Tevrat and the Injil, makes it clear that Isa’s death is the only way for man to have salvation. And His resurrection guarantees that all believers in Isa will also experience eternal life with Him.
