Who Is Isa Mesih?

The only religions that teach about Isa Mesih are Islam and Christianity. Isa is an important figure in both of these religions. How do they each describe Isa?

Isa’s Miraculous Birth

Isa was born without man’s biological touch. “… She [Maryam] said: ‘O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?’ …” (Qs 3:47). The Injil says He was born by the Holy Spirit. “… The Holy Spirit will come upon you, … therefore the child to be born will be called holy…” (Injil, Luke 1:35).

Isa is the Mesih

The Quran teaches that Isa will defeat Dajjal (the anti-Christ) at the end of time. According to the Injil, Christ or “Mesih” means the chosen and anointed one of God. Isa is the anointed King and Savior! As the Anointed One, He died to deliver those who are separated from Him because of sin. After three days, God resurrected Him. Isa broke Satan’s bondage of death so we can have freedom!

Isa is the Kalimatullah

The Quran teaches that Isa is the Kalimatullah (God’s Word). “…The Messiah, Jesus, … was … His word which He directed to Mary …” (Qs 4:171). The Injil also teaches that Isa is God’s Word. Because the Word is inseparable from God, the Word is God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God …” (Injil, Apostle John 1:1).

You Can Know Isa!

One day, Isa asked His disciples who He was. The Apostle Peter answered, “… ‘You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, … for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven …’” (Injil, Matthew 16:16-17). Peter believed in who Isa said He was!

Isa Mesih is in heaven now. You can have a relationship with Him! You can pray directly to Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. “Yes, ask me [Isa] for anything in my name, and I will do it!” (Injil, Apostle John 14:14).
